NMX Cup Albersdorf 2026, round 1: two wins and two podiums for Crown MX

  • MC Albersdorf, Grünthalring
  • 2 min read

NMX-Cup season opener at MC Albersdorf: Crown MX starts the year with two day wins and two more podiums. Katharina Schultz wins both races in the Women's class, Ben Krämer takes the day win in the 85s. Cedric Keil finishes P2 twice in MX1, Dirk Strahlendorf makes the Seniors podium.

Katharina and Ben: fastest time and day win

Katharina Schultz makes no mistakes in the Women's class: fastest in practice, then two race wins in a field of 19 starters – 50 out of 50 points. Ben Krämer is also fastest in practice in the 85s. He finishes the first race third, wins the second and takes the day win.

Cedric second twice in MX1

With 23 starters, MX1 Open is the biggest field of the weekend. Cedric Keil sets the fastest time in practice and finishes second in both races – only Rasmus Bogild is quicker. Only registered riders count in the NMX standings, so Cedric gets the full 25 points twice and leads the championship.

In Seniors S50, Dirk Strahlendorf wins the first race. With P5 in race two he finishes third on the day.

All Crown riders in the points

Behind them, Crown MX scores points in every class: Cedric von Baath (P6) and Charlie Dahlmann (P7) make the MX1 top ten, Saskia Kröger finishes tenth in the Women's class. Jano Boensch (P11, Schoolboys 65) and Dustin Heise (P12, MX2 250) also score championship points.

New paddock

For the first time, Crown MX was in the paddock with the complete set-up: two 4 × 8 metre tents, a 4 × 4 tent just for tyre service, plus the media wall and a dedicated hospitality area for riders, families and sponsors.

Eight holeshots with Gibson

The starts went well too: with the Scoopster from Gibson Tyre Tech, Crown MX took eight holeshots over the weekend.

The results speak for themselves – and with the Scoopster from Gibson Tyre Tech we took the holeshot 8 times. We're very impressed.

Outlook

After round 1, Cedric, Katharina and Ben lead their classes. One week later the series continues in Sulingen. Thanks to Gibson Tyre Tech and all partners for the support.
